Cake Boss!!!!

JD and I went to Carlos' Bakery to see if their bakery items are for real.

After waiting about 45 minutes in a line outside, we entered the zoo inside.

The top left delight was one of the famous cream puffs used in the cream puff cake. Next to it is a lobster tail with a creamy light filling. Then a chocolate covered canoli was fantastic!!! Below was a piece of the best cake I've ever had- crumb cake. Who knew what I've been missing out on!?! FABULOUS! And we can't forget the chocolate dipped strawberry- the biggest strawberry I've ever seen.

And then this. This piece of heaven called out to me from the case- chocolate mousse cake. Allergic to chocolate? Yeah, but it was worth it!!!

We had some time between the visit to the bakery and the Cake Boss tour, so we took a little cruise up the New York coast. One thing I like about the east is there's so much to see and so many coupons to do it for cheap! Great fun.

What the heck do you do at a Cake Boss show? Well we were wondering about that too. Turns out that the show was a lot of fun. He called people out of the audience to come up and compete in decorating cupcakes. He taught a bunch of men how to make roses out of modeling chocolate and made them dance across the stage for a gift certificate. He shared his story and how it all happened and he decorated a wedding cake while the audience asked questions. Had I known the program, I probably thought it was going to be a little dorky, but with his personality, it was a ton of fun. JD has never seen Cake Boss and he was laughing his head off through the whole thing.

After the show, Buddy signed books. This was the line. We went to the front to snap a picture and it turned out that we ended up in the perfect spot.

Buddy walked right by us- like 2 feet away.

He comes off as a crazy Italian but he's really sweet. He talked about the importance of families and really appealed to a family crowd.

It was a fun time.

This is where he collapsed and died. I'll admit this is creepy because I remember when I was little watching a dramatized documentary on Elvis and the death scene was a little more than I could handle at the time. So it weirded me out to see it.

Because we couldn't use the flash, I couldn't do this amazing plane justice. Elvis had personality!

Believe it or not, but Elvis and many other stars sang into that actual microphone. Surprising  they let you touch it.

Next we went to where Martin Luther King was killed.

Couldn't leave Tennessee without some fried chicken!
