Catching Up Part 4- Hawaii

In September, my side took a fabulous vacation to Hawaii. This was a particularly special trip because we had planned to go a year ago, but my sister Brooke ended up in the hospital a very, very sick girl. Although she wasn't able to be with us because she can't travel, this trip meant our family was healthy and whole again.

Up at the top- it got too dark to take really good pictures, but it really looks a lot like the Grand Canyon. Amazing!

We got to take a helicopter tour of the Napali Coast

So many waterfalls! It was amazing because the pilot flew us up a mountain and the all of the sudden the mountain dropped off and we were in this incredible canyon.

We also went kayaking up a river to a waterfall and pool we could swim in.

We were told by our guide that her company strongly encourages people to not go behind the waterfall for safety reasons, but if we were not going to listen, to enter and exit from the right. And what do the Sangsters do?

OK- so this guy was literally sitting in front of us during the show. His hat was so big we could hardly see around him! So aggravating and funny we had to take a picture.

Before we went, we hit up Wal-Mart to get matching water shoes.

I had to post this random picture of us at the condo. I was laughing out loud when I saw this! You know how you get pictures of people in the middle of talking and they look funny? I thought it was hilarious that all 3 of us in the picture looked ridiculous.

They also went on the zip line. Again, JD and I bowed out because of my pregnancy.

Catching Up Part 3

Because I was unable to go to the Mo Tab concert, we traded in my ticket and the tickets of a couple of others who were not able to attend and went to a couple of musicals. Here we are at Fiddler on the Roof.

Another fun event we attended was our nephew Landon's surprise birthday party. Here's the grand entrance.

Catching Up Part 2

JD has taken up a new hobby- he is ferociously reading everything he can get his hands on about the Founding Fathers. We went to Lincoln's Cottage where Lincoln spent most of his time as president. He loved this cottage much more that the White House.

They had an interactive exhibit where you could take your picture and it puts in on these different scenes and emails them to you.

Mark's and my birthday are just a couple of days apart. We celebrated at Lori's.

Mom Santini took several ambassadors to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir concert in July. Unfortunately I had to work and couldn't go. But JD went.

6 Months of Catching Up

So I've been really bad about updating the blog with the happenings in our neck of the woods- except for the baby. Can't help myself when it comes to little Baby Faith. But since this is a family journal of sorts, here's the last 6 months:

Fourth of July we went to DC to the DC parade and then to the capital's 4th concert. It was a great day!

Here they are setting up for the concert. We had to wait hours and hours (like 5) at our spot so we wouldn't lose it. It was a long day, but so much fun and totally worth it.

The concert was at the steps of the Capitol.
