Miscellaneous Summer Pics

This post is a bunch of pictures from this summer.

Here our nieces are competing in a local swim meet. They are pretty accomplished!

Here is cute Samantha!

JD surprised me with tickets to the Lion King. Here is a sneak pic of the finale.

The show was at the Kennedy Center. Here is a picture at the fountain.

We also went to an Orioles game. It was my first pro baseball game. We had a blast. It was a great game and the O's squeaked by with a victory!

Beautiful stadium!

One of our last nights in DC, we went to the Melting Pot. What a fun place to eat! The next picture of me and the chocolate fondue. I was in love! Wow-wee!!!

This is the 4th of July ward party. Here I'm sportin' a flag shirt. JD was insistent that I celebrated with a patriotic shirt.

That night the weather started looking bad, so we didn't get to go see fireworks. I was disappointed, so JD turned the TV on for me so I could see some fireworks. (next picture)

We also went to the zoo- I love the zoo. Here are a couple of shots.

Here is where JD spent his days at the Capitol. It's a surprise that the country can continue running without him!

JD headed into work.

This is where the hearings that JD worked on were held. Sitting is Senator Dorgan.

JD and I went to a rally to get some good picture opps. It was interesting to say the least!

One of the great things that we got to do during the summer was to go see our nieces and nephews' summer sporting events. Here is Madison and Erica.

I love this shot. It was Mom Santini's birthday. I love all of the grandkids around.

TV/Movie Sites in New York

When JD and I were in New York, we went on a tour to a bunch of locations where TV and movies were filmed. Can you guess what TV show/movie each picture is from?

ANDYou can see the arch when Will Smith walks out of the apartment he is living in. JD is standing in front of Will Smith's apartment.

This apartment is the apartment of Spider-man in Spider-man 2.

The Puck building is also in Will and Grace.

AND

I LOVE the Cosby show. This was my favorite stop.

This apartment is just a couple apartments down from the Cosby apartment.

The San Man, Moose, Junkyard Dawg, J Diddy, My Italian Stallion

Are there any other nicknames I missed?

So I usually post about news in our life so that those who would like to stay in touch can, but before I jam up our blog with pictures of the rest of our DC summer (and there are many coming), I just had to add to the many love posts that I've read lately on others' blogs.

So here's to the J Man: It surprises me how I never get bored of him. I can't wait to tell him about my day, I always want to be with him, and we are such good friends. He has seen my bad days, bad hair, bad moods, and loves me despite it all. I'm understanding more and more how love causes you to grow and change, and that through that, your definition of love grows and changes. I'm still at the beginning of the love journey, but I like it!

Even More Pics

Today JD and I 'happened' to be at Mom Santini's office when Elder Holland 'happened' to be there. It was great to meet him!

JD, Mark, and I went to Mama Mia for my birthday at the National Theater. My sweetie. I love musicals!
JD and I got a tour of the capitol building. This is a picture of the first Supreme Court chamber.

We were in the Senate building and thought we'd stop by to give O'bama some pointers. It would have taken too long, so we just took a picture. :c)
We met with the ambassador of Malaysia for lunch in the House dining room. She was a delightful woman and probably one of the smallest women I've met!

More of the Capitol building.
Statue of Brigham Young in one of the main halls in the Capitol.
We are standing on the direct center of DC. All of the streets build out from here.
Center of DC.
We've also been going to the nieces' and nephews' summer ball games. Here is Landon and his sweaty hairdo.
